Dr Asha

I had back pain and was unfit. I also had a knee injury, bilateral carpal tunnel, Dr quervains , multiple trigger fingers, ulnar nerve compression, wrist inflammation and bilateral shoulder stiffness. I also have diabetes with 2 stents in my heart.

Wany helped me build confidence to exercise & also moving in my daily life. My shoulder and back issues are sorted out. She worked out exercises that do not aggravate my hands and wrists.I am stronger, healthy & mobile and continuing with my fitness goals. My daughter, Aliya, has also benefitted tremendously from her training. Her back & shoulders are much stronger today.

Wany is a friendly, and dedicated trainer. Pilates classes with Wany are very often varied in routine, which keeps classes fresh. She can make workouts seem hard, but I just love it! Attending one of Wany’s classes will leave you feeling tired, but really satisfied because every workout is a great one! I have trained with Wany for more than a decade, and when she left, I was in a lurch to find someone of the same capability!

 

Anyone who attends her group class or trains with Wany personally, is so fortunate because they are literally in good hands!

Lee Kuen

I was already practicing pilates for several years before I had a slipped disc, so I went back to pilates and gyrotonic with Wany for rehab.

Wany is a warm and emphatic person. There was a lot of communication and feedback during our sessions. We have wonderful chemistry. I would still be training with her if she had not left Singapore. Wany understood my body condition very well, which was the key to rebuilding my strength and mobility quickly. She applied a lot of flexibility and creativity in my training to address my body's needs. Never a boring session~

Wany is very positive and encouraging. She cares. She makes sure her client gets the best from each session. She became a friend.

 

Our training sessions were constructive and fun, so much so that it's hard to train with another trainer because I keep comparing! She helped me understand my own body condition and gave me pointers on self-care. With all that I've gained from my sessions with Wany, I can actually continue training on my own effectively. She taught me "how to fish" instead of just "serving me fish" (in terms of training of course).

I was struggling with mobility and was finding a balance in life.

 

A total inspiration she is. Wany has given me a strong core and an able body to deal with motherhood, dentistry and marathon training. She has guided me through two marathons training without injury. Postpartum recovery was a breeze with her.

Her explanation and her expertise really made me feel wonderful about my body. Even the smallest movements matter. Her trainings are very structured. Her attentiveness is much appreciated. If only she comes back to Singapore!!

I had nerve pains shooting down my left leg & was referred to Wany by my physio. She managed to help me activate muscles that I had struggled to activate while working with other trainers.

 

Through the process of activation and strengthening, my body got stronger and I was able to reduce the load on my spine. That helps my pain significantly! Wany is firm and disciplined in her approach, helping me to see that I have to put effort and intention behind strengthening.

I had recurring Achilles tendon issues. Wany’s excellent body / movement awareness and incredible focus on functional training and rehabilitation, helped both during the period when i was limited in what i could do, and in my post-operation recovery programme. Incredibly grateful for Wany’s patience and partnership! 

I’m much more aware of how parts of the body work together and how form is essential to doing exercise, particularly when lifting heavier weights. Without the proper attention to form, injuries will happen, and without Wany’s instruction and guidance, I wouldn’t have this important awareness. She is incredibly knowledgable, has a wide range of fitness capabilities (from pilates / rehabilitation, right through to full-on HIIT work), and a great partner for anyone’s fitness journey!

Before I met Wany, I was suffering from a knee injury and I was lazy to exercise. While training with Wany, I learnt how to get a more balanced training to take load away from pain in knee and building a stronger back. I'm also now highly motivated to get out and work out on my own.

She's made me realise how training is a big contributor to physical and emotional well-being. I would definitely recommend training with Wany because of  her high energy and motivational support to do more than one thinks they can do!

I was looking to improve my overall fitness. Wany is very good at correcting posture and alignment. Also very motivational, you can never slack with Wany. She always knows 😝

Without Wany, I believe my posture and alignment would be all wrong. I wouldn't know how to correct myself when something feels off. And would be much lazier than I am now.

When I first trained with Wany, I was postpartum, struggled with motivation, my diet and knowing/ understanding my body. She took the time to get to know me, understood my goals, challenges and limitations. Wany was able to help me break down my goals so they felt achievable. I always felt so supported which really helped with motivation.

Wany has been instrumental in my fitness journey. I now understand how my body works, muscles I should be using, form I need to adapt and the importance of balance and diet. It’s become a life style for me now and I think about Wany in all my workouts now as if she was correcting me real time!!

The pre and post natal pilates sessions with Wany really helped my mobility and my strength. She is just super knowledgeable about the way the body moves, she knew what sort of exercises and stretches I needed, and really helped relieve a lot of the tension while still building strength during and after pregnancy. She is also such a joy to train with and working out with her is always fun!

Yes! She’s a great trainer, knows her stuff, and is not just focused on giving the hardest toughest workout. She alters sessions to suit what you really need and is so approachable that training is not daunting or intimidating with her.

I was having knee injuries, weight issues and I lacked strength before I started training with Wany. 
 

Wany has a superb understanding of how the body works and she knows how much to push a client and when to stop. I also appreciated that she always provided options because of my knee issues. She helped me understand the types of exercises you need to do to get maximum results; that it is not always about cardio, but learning to load up the right weight to build your muscles and strength. Overall, she has helped me build muscles and made me much fitter and stronger. I also lost weight in the process!

She's one of the best trainers I have ever worked with and I actually saw a transformation and results while training with her.
